Jacque Trauma Informed Coach for Mold Recovery

Meet Jacque the Trauma Coach

M.Ed. · LPC · LCDC · EMDRIA Approved Consultant

- My Approach -

Compassionate, paced, and built around your nervous system

Safety first, always

We move at the pace of your nervous system. Nothing is forced, and you are never asked to relive more than you are ready for.

Education alongside support

Understanding what your body is doing — and why — often brings the first real relief. We name the patterns before we work with them.

EMDR-informed practice

Structured exercises inspired by EMDR principles help your nervous system stop experiencing the past as though it were happening now.

Walking alongside, not ahead

I am not the expert on your life. I bring training and lived experience, and we build the way forward together.

- My Mission -

Honoring the whole person — mind, body, and spirit

“My mission is to provide compassionate, trauma-informed coaching and support that honors the whole person — mind, body, and spirit.

I believe that God is the ultimate source of healing and restoration. I do not see myself as the healer, but as a compassionate helper who has been given the opportunity, training, and responsibility to walk alongside people during some of the most difficult seasons of their lives.

Through trauma-informed coaching, education, and EMDR-informed techniques, I strive to provide a safe and supportive space where individuals can better understand their experiences, develop healthy tools for moving forward, strengthen resilience, and rediscover hope.

For those who desire it, faith, prayer, and Christian beliefs may be respectfully incorporated into the coaching process. I honor each person’s individual beliefs and will never impose spiritual beliefs or practices.

My intention is to serve with kindness, humility, wisdom, compassion, hope, faith and trust.”

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Psalm 147:3

- Mind, Body & Spirit -

Three parts of one person, never separated

Mind

Understanding your story, your triggers, and the beliefs that formed while you were surviving.

Body

Practical regulation tools so your body can begin to recognize present safety instead of past danger.

Spirit

Space for meaning, hope, and — for those who want it — faith, prayer, and Christian beliefs.

A trauma specialist who has walked this road too

Jacqueline “Jacque” Rousselow, M.Ed., LPC, LCDC, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, is a trauma therapist and EMDR specialist devoted to helping people heal at the deepest levels — guiding them through trauma, emotional pain, and life’s hardest experiences so they can reconnect with their resilience and sense of self.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Community Health from the University of Texas at San Antonio and her master’s in Education & Counseling from Sul Ross State University. Her clinical career includes work as a team therapist at The High Frontier and as Clinical Director at Coral Reef Academy. She was personally trained in EMDR by the late Dee Blinka, a world-renowned specialist and recipient of the Francine Shapiro Award — a mentorship that shaped her clinical approach and her lifelong mission to expand access to effective trauma healing.

Jacque’s commitment to this work is personal, too. Her own family lived through mold exposure, CIRS, and PANS — the displacement, the fear, and the slow work of learning to feel safe in their bodies and their home again. That experience, alongside her clinical training, is why this program exists: to walk alongside mold, CIRS, and PANS survivors the way she once needed someone to walk alongside her family.

From Personal Experience to Trauma-Informed Coaching

She founded Brisa Counseling Services and later co-created Brisa Therapeutics with Toni Sands — an EMDR-inspired therapeutic ecosystem built to bring nervous system regulation and trauma-informed tools to survivors of mold, CIRS, and chronic illness, wherever they are. She’s also a published author, co-writing the EMDR-inspired Brisa Therapeutics six-book series and writing the children’s book The Adventures of Roam and River: Our EXTRA-Ordinary Life.

Beyond her clinical work, Jacque is a devoted wife to her husband, Joshua Rousselow, and a proud mother of two adventurous boys. She continues her counseling work while homeschooling and worldschooling her children — believing, as a family, that life itself is one of the greatest classrooms.

In addition to working one-on-one with individuals, Jacque facilitates group coaching programs and trauma-informed workshops designed to foster community connection, practical nervous system regulation, and collective healing

My goal is to help others recover not only their sense of safety — but their lives.

Common questions

Jacque Rousselow, known as Jacque, is a trauma-informed coach who helps people navigate the challenges that can accompany trauma, mold-related illness, and chronic health struggles. Her professional background and personal understanding of these challenges inform her compassionate, individualized approach to supporting clients.

A trauma coach provides supportive, goal-focused guidance to help people navigate challenges associated with difficult experiences and move toward meaningful personal goals. Trauma-informed coaching considers a person's experiences, boundaries, and individual needs. It does not replace psychotherapy, medical care, or mental health treatment when those services are needed.

A therapist provides clinical mental health services, which may include assessing and treating mental health conditions. A trauma coach generally focuses on supportive guidance, personal goals, and practical next steps within the scope of coaching. The services are not interchangeable, and coaching should not replace appropriate clinical care. The right option depends on your needs and the professional's qualifications.

The right support depends on what you are experiencing and what kind of help you need. If you are experiencing significant emotional distress, persistent mental health symptoms, or difficulties with daily functioning, consider consulting a licensed mental health professional. Coaching may be appropriate for supportive, goal-focused guidance when it fits your circumstances. If you are unsure, a qualified healthcare or mental health professional can help you understand your options.

Jacque's coaching may be a fit for people navigating the challenges associated with mold-related illness, chronic health struggles, or difficult life experiences. Her approach is intended to offer supportive guidance as clients work toward greater understanding, personal growth, and a more manageable path forward. A conversation with Jacque can help determine whether her coaching is appropriate for your needs.

Jacque's coaching work includes support for people navigating mold-related health challenges and CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome). Coaching can provide personal support as clients navigate the challenges of their journey, but it does not diagnose, treat, or cure CIRS. Medical evaluation and treatment should be provided by appropriately qualified healthcare professionals.
